March 14: Pi, Steak, & BJ Day Trivia!
Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:43PM My goodness, nothing like a 65-degree day in March to thin the trivia ranks, eh? Not that it wasn't a great crowd. It certainly was that. It just wasn't the shoulder-to-shoulder affair I've come to expect from the 331. Where was everyone? Celebrating Pi Day? Or maybe celebrating some other holiday that happens to land on Pi Day? Whatever the case, we all know where Sean was: Going wild for Spring Break in Mexico. Early reports are already rolling in about his drunken exploits:

I swear, give that guy one white wine spritzer and a couple of beaded necklaces and he won't put his boobs away.
Speaking of boobs, look at these guys:

They're your winners this week: I'll Catch You In My Death Bag (48/50). That is a hell of a score, by the way. Thing is, it was matched! By this team, of all people:

That there is I Like To Watch You Sleep (48/50). They lost the 10-gallon hat tiebreaker and landed the $10 in groceries from Sentyrz market. I cannot overstate my love of Sentyrz market. They have a barrel of pig ears in the back!
Speaking of pig ears (what?), let's see our third-place team:

I like it. No, really, that's their name. I Like It. (42/50)
And speaking of liking stuff (ok, I'm really reaching now), behold these sexy beasts:

It's The Specials Gone Wild (39/50). They're all, "Eh, what're ya gonna do?" I like that about them.
Speaking of... oh, forget it. This team is from Fargo. Or at least half of them are. I know because I went to high school with her brother. And now he's a brain surgeon. And I'm a trivia host. I'm suddenly very depressed. Anyone got a death bag handy? Oh, there's one up there....

Ok, I'm back. Feelin' good. Oh, that was Beverly Hills 58103 (38/50), bee-tee-double-u.
Our Learn Some Shit Award went out to the appropriately named Les Miserables, who finished with a truly miz-er-awb-luh seven points. They had 8 at half-time, and were so ashamed--again, appropriately--that they slinked out of the bar before I could nab their picture. So this team stepped in and accepted the Common Good Books gift card in their stead:

They had 31 points, which is a great LSS score. Well done folks.
That's it for now. See you next Sunday; or, if you're in St. Paul, check out Sean and me at the Historical Sunday on Tuesday! How many chances do you get to get drunk and run around a museum after-hours? It's free and starts at 7.
xo,
chuck
