It's the tail end of January, it feels like March and Bloomington felt like a nightclub with all that jamming going down. Big time trivia games and a couple surprise winners. Also, some folks misinterpreted the Pi question as a Pie question. I guess it wasn't their cup of tee, butt its EZ 2 con fuse words with no spelling guyde. The scores were strong, some brains in Boomington.

1st Place, a new team - Johnny Chimps. They were killing it. And a great attitude, but you knew that already, they are from Duluth. That's a super cool city. 39 points!

How bout my Cedric crew! 38 points. Just one point away from respectable, just the way they like it.

And the Mortified Bunnies held it down for third. (So did MN Fan, but I didn't get a picture from them. How did that happen???). Mortified Bunnies still did great with that tie breaker though!

no static at all! smooth sailing in Bloomington

After last week's question fiasco I was glad to just survive. And survive we did. Plus MN FAN annihilated the competition, was a beautiful thing to see. We'll start from 3rd place tonight to switch things up!

My dudes NACL were back in full effect (with a visiting partner from Idaho). They scored 37 points, which is a nice take!

Rocking it out in second place is team Androjata. 39 points and a good look on making sure they got all their points. This is a team to watch.

And rocking 1st place with a vengeance was the success crazed MN MN FAN FAN!!! Killing it. 44 points!

Allright Team,

It was a night of snafus and snags but you guys still powered through on our hybrid family of awesome questions and powered through. And I challenge Kathleen Turner Overdrive to come back and make a run of it again. Let's see if you can match that intensity on WK 2. But as it was, it was a wild night, a night we can be proud of, and we are ready to rock yet again. Party people, let's do it all over again. It's Bloomington, it's warm out, it's a party!

First Place - Team Yellow

You can't count these guys out. WIth 42 points they are the powerhouse you wish you were. They play Scrabble more often than you breathe. So it's game on with them. Watch out.

Holding down second place was the aforementioned 2nd place team Kathleen Turner Overdrive. Come back team, let's see you pull down these numbers next week. Challenge accepted? 40 points!

And rocking out on 3rd place my good homies was of course Team No Broomball. 39 points. And we all know they are called Cedric, they are just mad about the warm weather! The warm weather? Get effing serious! It's out of control great, stop challenging mother nature! Let's keep it warm. Game the f on.

12/20/11 - A Tie For First! What's the Odds

Well, it was a sporting Pre-Christmas romp through Trivia Island. And those folks who made their way out were rewarded with the joy of a great night of trivia. And a fat tiebreaker at that.

Both MN FAN and Team Yellow had 41 points. They both guessed correctly that Bon Jovi was born in 1962. So it came down to Abe Vigoda's first incorrect death announcement. That came at 1982 and Team Yellow got a little closer. So they rock the first place.

MN Fan still gets a big bravo for their awesome tie work!

Foxy Roxy wasn't far behind holding down third with 38 points! Well done ladies!

Well Bloomington, I had a nice night. And I love Ben from Cedric, and he loved giving me the finger when I explained that we were looking for the first person born in the 20th century to become president, not the first president to be born in the 20th century. Deep? Yes I know.

11/22/11 Bloomington Thanksgoing Down!

It went down on 11/22! I pile of tiebreakers! A war of the worlds. A pre Turkey wing fest complete with some drinks for the lucky souls that don't work the day before Thanksgiving. Amidst the carnage we found the winners!

1st Place was a new team to watch: The Mortified Bunnies

They Pulled down 44 points!

Securing second was a new favorite recent arrival to the Trivia Mafia scene, 2.5 Krauts. Bravo! 44 points, but scurred during the tiebreaker!

Coming in 3rd was MN FAN! They killed tonight, 42 points and winners of da tiebreaker!

And coming up 4th was team team team Yellow!

11/01/11 My Dear Bloomington, A Game Was Had

Bloomington Trivia was a fine game this Tuesday. MN Fan controlled the board but they got chased from behind. We learned a lot. We enjoyed it. Thanks Bloomington, you're a real pro.

First place was MNFan. They scored down on 37 points!

Cedric budged right in with 33 points for a rousing 2nd place! Bravo young Cedric!

Jumping up into 3rd was the wonderful ladies of Foxy Roxy. Welcome to the Board party people!

Game on next Tuesday. It shall be going down.

Well Bloomington, I like your style. A healthy combination of new teams and old teams showing up to throw it down. Good scores, few complaints and a great staff. Thanks Bloomington!

My fourth place team was visiting from Ohio. If you're curious, I love Cincinnatti, I don't like to play music there. And Cleveland is better than you remember it! The Bebes got 30 points!

And 3rd place was the domain of my good friends the Pawnbreakers! They scored 34 points!

And, watch out, cause Team Yellow is storming into first place but tonight they were stopped dead in second place. 34 points though. Not a bad showing!

And have no fear, but my first place was my best friends the MN FAN! Loving it. 38 points, great score.

maybe they score 1st place cause they had extra friends with them!

Trivia sub declared "dumbest human alive" after butchering the word 'meringue'

Welp it was good to be back...many of my favorite teams were in attendance, such as the Madonna singin', baked goods-lovin' MNFan, the lovely ladies of Foxy+Roxy, and even team Salt hung out til the end. This week provided some difficult questions and a surprisingly annoying image round (for most)(I'm looking at you, random old guy that played by himself), yielding close scores and an intensity level that rivaled most WNBA games. And if this was a WNBA game, The Pawnbreakers would be filling the highlight reels with gravity-defying lay-ups and crisp bounce passes, as they gracefully soared past the competition to a solid first place finish. Coming in a close second was Foxy and Roxy, who, despite what they say in public, find my boyish antics adorable and charming. Right behind them was team Apalm Napalm, who racked up 39 points in a respectable third place showing. In all, it was great to see all of ya again, and I'll see you next week, as Sean has his bi-monthly scrap-booking convention.

Well it was a traumatic night. First off, don't test Bloomington on the acronym for NASCAR. They will obliterate you and then drive over you with a National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing (we had the answer erroneously listed as North American Stock Car Auto Racing). Well the scorn of Bloomington was spicy, but the reward was even funner. You guys were great tonight. Welcome back to Morning Aluminum, Cedric + Team Yellow. You guys all did great.

Securing the first place was Team Yellow! They smashed the game up with a cool 35 points. Well done. Let's see your grills!

And Cedric, those lovely amazing folks who I missed the last couple weeks came back strong with a fat 34 points. It felt good, it looked good and it was awesome. Welcome home Cedric.
