Thursday: July 1, 2010 is a pretty boring day in the solar system. But
what happens on July 1, 2011?

I just used slang righ there. I am saying we have some sick trivia players at the Roseville Green Mill. It was a bit slower paced this week with 11 eleven groups instead of 17. Last week I didn't get to enjoy and adult beverage or a meal. But that's the way it goes. We had some amazing scores this week along with with a lot of fun. But that is to be expected. It's fun watching people get excited about knowing an answer. Not as fun as a waterpark but fun nonetheless. Here are your winners:

1st Place The Diving Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood of Travelling Pants 30 points-Perfect score, wow. Also, perfectly girly team name. Well...Travelling Pants was ok.

2nd Place Robot Warriors 29 points-Just out of reach. Sorry team, I feel so bad.

3rd Place Peng "Wins" 27 points-Get it? I love penguins. Not as much as I love eagles and lions but pretty darn close.

4th Place Stink Parade 25 points-The lady on the right ousted me as mayor on foursquare. Anyone who is on foursquare knows how mad I am. :)

There are your winners. What an awesome night with a bunch of awesome. I could think of no better way to spend my Thursday evenings. Can you?

After a week's absence I am glad to say I am back to the state of Minnesota. It was a good trip to Orlando  but trivia duty calls. It was an insane night this past Thursday. The bar and atrium were full to capacity. I didn't once get to even sit down it was so busy. Hence I didn't get to drink any alcohol. Hence I was sad. But no big deal. Like I said it was crazy. We had 17 teams competing this week so there was heavy competition. Also, I thought we had our most difficult picture round in a very long time. But you all braved through it.  Ok let's get to the winners:

1st Place Watergate Preston 27 points-I have never seen a group so excited for trivia. Their excitement was thusly rewarded. Congrats.

2nd Place Unfortunate Purple Cleavage 26 points-We had a lot of boob questions this week. I think this is where this name comes from.

3rd place Not so teenage and defintely not mutant ninja dudes with 2 bbes(and no verbs) 25 points-They live up to their name.

4th place Steam Buns 23 points+tiebreak win-They chose the tiebreaker of cuban currency over jockstraps. Sad.

5th place Robort Warriors 23 points+tiebreak loss-my old friends. Sigh. They are mean to me. In a good way.

That's right folks, 5 prizes iincluding DQ hamburger gift certificates. Awesome. So there ya go kids. I am proud of you all. Keep on coming down to the Roseville Green Mill every Thursday night at 9pm. I love seeing your smiling faces. Or at least your scowling menacing grins. 

I was so excited about my vacation that I forgot to put up the winners of June 3rd trivia. Even though I forgot these are still insanely stellar teams. We had a bit of a shakeup this week with some new teams and some old favorites popping back into the winner's circle. All in all it was a successful night. Also, a team used a drawing of a penis as its team name. It was that kind of evening. Here are your fabulous winners:

1st Place Oil Drillers 28 points-A first time winner! The placed last week but stormed their way to 1st. Positively electric and sloppy. Just like oil spills.

2nd Place 8=====) 25 points + tiebreak win-That's right. It's a penis. If anyone has a suggestion how I could make this more penis like, let me know.

3rd Place Trampled by Turtles 25 points +tiebreak loss-They're back in the winner's circle. These lovely ladies are straight thuggin. Or something.

4th Place _____Of my labia 24 points-The apple guys. They also left early without getting a picture. Too bad so sad.

Sorry I took so long to post this. I had no computewr access for 4 days. Yeah, it was total hell. I survived though. As usual we had a pretty strong crowd at the Roseville Green Mill. We also welcomed back Becca from her time off with her new bundle of joy. She was showing off pictures of her new baby. Of course, she was a  proud mama. It's nice to have her back. Again we had tight competition for 1st place. Let's just say I am proud of all of you. Here are the winners:

1st Place Hyper Frolicking Ninja Rainbow Unicorns with Sporks Eating Cantankerous Chinchillas(29 points)-I am pretty sure these guys want to ruin my fingers through typing. Also, they used their first verb. Cool.

2nd Place Robot Warriors(28 points)-The old standbys. They invited me out a couple weeks ago and I came. It was cool.

3rd Place Big and Bouncy(27 points+tiebreak win)-Yeah we know that team name means.

4th Place Kevin Marx(27 points+tiebreak loss)-They may have gotten 4th but they may have gotten the best prize of all...free blizzard and free burger at Dairy Queen. Wow.
