After weeks of slumming it in the lower echelons of the top five, Aunt Hegemima has taken it to the stars!I think they've won before months ago with another name. Congrats on your deliciously, viciously oppressive take over of all aspects of the Green Mill.

Seconds goes to this G turned Gent...Rickey Henderson!With the occasional assistance of one other pal, this dude trounced teams of fifteen! Truly unprecedented!

Third goes to this foursome known as Hemingway said "s***t went down"!These Apple employees were tiebreaker victors, with a closer guess as to the number of couples who married after meeting on Love Connection! 22,000 couples total - but only 29 marriages! 0.13% success rate! I knew Chuck Woolery was nuthin' but a carney with a flawless smile!
And the tiebreaker losers are these DQ Blizzard winners - Assault & Battery!

Fewer sunglasses this week. And one bro got too close to another bro while I was trying to snap this shot. Hate crime avoided, luckily.

Wenchtaste Explorers?

Part of the charm of Tuesday night trivia at da Mill is the anticipation of the down right filthy team names to come. And by filthy, I mean a level of filth that would make John Waters upset.

But the absence of some of the more filthy teams this week put the whole fragile balance of things at risk. Luckily for all, the first place champs had a name that was not as much filthy as just downright odd/funny - I'm talkin' bout the Wenchtaste Explorers!

They had quite a few explorers on board this week, including the guy (front left) who keeps asking if he can co-host. Nice work, good luck on the exploration, and no! I will never deny a volunteer grading-helper, though. Especially one with the vague flavor of a wench.

Second this week goes to the rowdy, heavily bespectacled bros known as Slice & Dice!

They were tiebreaker victors too, outguessing a formidable team with a question about the height of the Eiffel Tower...which no one luckily remembered was used just a few weeks back. Oh, and one of these bros wore six pairs of sunglasses at once. It was just one of those nights.

And here is that formidible team that lost the tiebreaker but gained a larger chunk of our heart - Stim Pack Lite!

Formerly the controversial squad known as the Stimulus Package, they changed to Stim Pack Lite after the loss of two of their mates to that beast known as Washington D.C. - kinda like when Jefferson Airplane changed into Jefferson Starship, than just Starship. Kinda. Anyway, outtasight, Lite!

Give it up for team Aaron Burr Shot First, with 35 outta 40 points!

Aaron Burr was Jefferson's VP, as Aaron Burr Shot First knew. Aaron Burr Shot First also knew that Aaron Burr shot first on Alexander Hamilton in a duel, mortally wounding Hamilton - which many of us know thanks to that milk commercial from the 90's.

He couldn't answer the call-in quiz show question cuz he wuz eatin' a PB&J without milk, so he couldn't talk. Right?

Up from fourth place last week (named The Furries), team Tony Hayward & The Oily Pelicans take second this week!

34 points! I personally think it's way too soon for Hayward to step out with his Flock of Seagulls cover band.

The Whales Commission takes third place with 33/40!

I screwed another team out of a tiebreaker showdown with the Whales - which the Whales would've won anyway! Inadvertent favoritism? You make the call.

This squad beat the aforementioned "screwed" team in a tiebreaker for the fourth place prize of DQ burgers - it's team Aunt Hegemima!

The lovely lass in the middle had a lot of pressure being the token Clevelander on the team, but she fared more than well in the Cleveland Rocks category! Nice!

Titty Walk of Shame/Victory

In a sea of trivia teams with nine or more, an abridged Titty Walk put 'em on the figurative glass...they won is what I'm trying to say!

They only had three wrong, but enjoyed a bonus point via the IOQ! Rob (second from right) also tore it up in the tiebreaker for first. He was dangerously close to the correct percentage of potato in those "newfangled potato chips" known as Pringles (42% potato). And they make me feel short, despite the fact that I'm six feet tall. Thanks, and congrats, you big 'ol Titties!

Last week's third placers are this week's second placers - Canoe Ramrod (my balls)!

And I see they took a dirty page from the above team's filthy playbook of ribald names. Let's see if yall (the second person plural) can take it to the naughty limit next week. There may be a correlation between smutty names and victory! Nice work, (my balls).

Third goes to a team I haven't seen in some time - The Furries! They too only had three wrong, but no IOQ help. Nice!

The Stimulus Package Wins...but loses two

With only one incorrect answer, plus the IOQ bonus point, The Stimulus Package breaks their foot off in all behinds last night with 40/40!

Unfortunately for the Pack, and for the entire Green Mill Tuesday Trivia Posse, members Loura and Ryan (the furthest back on the right) are leaving MN for DC. Ryan's gonna turn out the Senate with his librarian skills, while Loura (sorry if misspelled) is gonna out-White House Party-crash Michele Salahi as the latest and more salacious Real Housewife of DC! Have a blast on the east coast - you will be sorely missed - though most teams are hoping that your absence will take the unstoppable out of the Stim Pack. Prove 'em wrong next Tuesday, the rest of yall!

Tuesday night's champs were a group of radical regulars, this time labeled HieroglyphTits, who won it all in a toxic tiebreaker! Good ol' Rob (far right) was closest to the decibel level of those gosh-forsaken vuvuzelas those damn South Africans love to toot (120 dB - like a clap of thunder from a nearby storm!) I had to use a used photo of the team (and all teams this week) because a killer combination of dropping my camera and dousing it in Grape/Blueberry Vitamin Water. Thought just the viewfinder died, but pics turned out black. Wuz planning to make some animated GIFs of the teams, and I was looking forward to cherishing HieroglyphTits pic for years to come....cuz...um, Rob was wearing a very funny hat. Oh well. Maybe we can recreate the magic next week...ladies?

Second went to team , who lost the tiebreaker, but scored the silver. Here's an abridged version of the team - they had quite a few more members this week. And dunno if their name was inspired by our question about the languages on the Rosetta Stone (Greek, Egyptian, and Hieroglyphics...not Chinese), but I think the Chinese they wrote as their team name was quite different then what I got here - which roughly translates to "one who makes cruel joke by urinating in another's carmel-colored soft drink".

Third goes to...huh, the Stimulus Package? I didn't think they would/could ever surrender to another team. Nice work, and nice restraint.

Thanks for an overwhelmingly packed night of trivia! I'll not soon forget the intense wave of relief when I announced that after ten consecutive cup-themed questions, there will be no more! They weren't that bad. And it's hilarious that more people seemed offended by the reference to Dolly Parton's "cups" then to pointing out that in The Da Vinci Code - Mary Magdalene is the cup. Tough/weird crowd.

Give it up to the treacherous Stimulus Package, who I believe got ONE WRONG Tuesday night!!! You are officially my heroes.

Second goes to tiebreaker victors Team Discovery Channel, who only missed five points! Congrats to the only apparently sponsored team of regulars.

Third goes to Green Beans, whose score I screwed up initially - they too only missed five points. They could've won the whole shebang if only the lady in the middle would've passed me a Ulysses S. Grant. Live and learn, baby.

And since we had so many darn prizes tonight (thanks to Dairy Queen, who "treats" us "right"), there was a three-way tiebreaker to determine fourth place - secured by Team Biggus Dickus! Congrats, and no one should be surprised that I'm a Python nerd.

That was the my favorite overheard quote of Tuesday night at da Mill, referring to this question: "In Fraggle Rock, the Fraggles eat candy-like scaffolding that is constantly being constructed by what industrious race of Muppet?" That bloodthirsty Muppet race is the Doozers, pictured below. I've never seen the show, so I assume they're bloodthirsty. I'm more of a Muppet Babies man myself. Though the legs-only adults were the bloodthirsty race in that one, from what I remember.

BTW, Da Mill was swollen like a tick filled with PBR, spinach dip, and mad knowledge. Thanks for blowin' up the joint! Though the first placers Team Crazed seemed to account for 75% of the guests. With 16 members YOU BETTER WIN!!! And y'all did just that! Word.

Second place goes to The Whales Commission, who earned their spot in a vicious tiebreaker! They were like a hundred years off in their guess about the year Memorial Day was established (1866), but still won anyway. And I didn't know that by setting my camera on top of the booth wall for stability, it would give the illusion of being in the ocean - much like whales. I guess I'm just a natural artist. Congrats to me, and Whales too.

Third place goes to The Stimulus Package, who lost the tiebreaker but still get the bronze. And they must've settled their gender differences, cuz they came back together co-ed style this week. Ahhh, the healing power of make-up lovin'.

And here's the fourth place team this week, Heh-Cho, who walked outta da Mill with two Blizzard coupons! I prefer the Tropical Blizzard. I like coconut.

We'll Miss Kathryn Indeed

Congrats to Tuesday nights champs We'll Miss Kathryn, who only got four wrong and didn't benefit from the IOQ bonus point! Wicked. Here's the Kathryn who will be missed - a fantabulous waitress and muse of several teams. Before you jump from the overpass, hold on to yer butts - she'll be back in a few months. She's doing some summer theater work out east, honing her chops. Right on, Kath!

Second place is good 'ol Team Crazed with 35 outta 40 points! Welcome back for the summer, several Crazed members who haven't been in da Mill for a grip!

And third place was determined by a mondo, four-way two-tiered tiebreaker! After round one, The Talls and Whales were the last teams standing (That's Number Wong and Anon were trounced) - but it was Whales who had a closer guess as to the number of Emmys Cheers won (28). Since Whales had to fluke off early and missed their all-important photo sess w/ moi, here are the fourth placers instead, The Talls, cuppin' invisible ballz from a couple weeks ago. Still timely.
