All of the Bushes are the same.

Battle of the giant teams! What a night at Green Mill Woodbury.  We kept bartender Dash, well on his game serving a PACKED house.  I must say this has to be one of the best nights of trivia so far - every team was super competitive and showed the equal amount of embarrassment for their lack of blistory.  It's ok guys, we are here to help educate.

Coming in first place was Team Nate Dogg they originally had Team The Answer Sheet written as their ever so proud team name until they realized that perhaps this week wasn't their most stellar...They still were not unseated though.  I'm waiting for Mailmen Fog or Pancakes, Eggs and Bacon to de-throne these giants, I truly believe you have it  in you...

Coming in 2nd place by a mere point (which was even more devastating once I hipped them to the beauty of the internet only question) was Mailmen Fog.  This team much like The Answer Sheet have been coming pretty consistently to thursday night trivia since well before the renovation and are always a pleasure to bark questions at.  An extra special congratulations to them joining us fresh off a volleyball victory!  Go Team!

And last but certainly not least coming in 3rd place was Team Dislocated Ankle big ups to this crew for having the ring leader of this team dislocate his ankle a mere 2 hours before trivia and still show up with his hospital bracelet and everything.  (The things we do for a cold drink, warm pizza, and sassy trivia hosts) I really hope to see these guys come back again.  The husband and wife pictured were also accompanied by 6 other friends who had to leave early.

As always thank you for spending your Thursday night with me, you are all gems and I look forward to it every week.  Be good to each other

Punch me in the arm the next time I blog a week late

Do you ever learn a really great lesson by doing something that you know wouldn't work out?  Sometimes you have some really great teams that pull it out constantly and are trivia masters and then you forget their team names.  I expect to be harassed deeply tonight as we dive into another (slightly colder) Thursday of trivia at the Green Mill.

I can tell you this...coming in first place was team The Answer Sheet pretty bold team name if I don't say so myself but what can I say? They are a powerhouse and one of you other teams need to take them down this week!

Coming in 2nd were Team Pancakes, Eggs and Bacon who are feeling the love every week so hard that they end the night with a kiss, I think there is only one team mates turn left for a smooch, hopefully they can solidify that tonight

And coming in 3rd are the trivia faithfuls that had a ringer on their side this time around and how cute they are using sign language to convey their team name.  Here is a piece of trivia: decode it for yourself!  I have blast with these guys each week and feel lucky everytime they return.

See you tonight party people. You may want to research your Prezzies.

      Oh yeah, January 27th

For someone that is all about blogging i'm so late - so instead of posting actual team names and facts

about this night, everything besides the photos will be fictional.

So...coming in first place was The Answer Sheet this is their team name of the future since they rarely

get even one answer wrong, it helps to have a college professor, video game guru, musician, sports nut

and entertainment columnist reader on your team.

Coming in 2nd place was citrus, mousse and toast! these fine cats spell l-o-v-e k-i-s-s (I remember your real name and cherrish it but in the spirit of the blog, this is your new name for the time being.

And finally these guys have never been to trivia before, never heard of triviamafia and certainly don't have any fun when they come!  3rd place goes to Coco chix fingers! I call them that because i'm pretty sure I somehow always manage to talk about coconut chicken fingers with these guys (only factual piece)

"Let's take this party to Duluth!"

Good mix of regulars and out of towners at the old Mill - I think that's my favorite part of having a Green Mill that is attached to a hotel.  They show up for the cheap rooms and leave with an affinity for trivia.

In 1st place we have the powerhouse team 5 Chairs of Nothingness whom have gone through a series of name changes since they first started attending Woodbury trivia back in 2008!  What a group!  Here is a picture of them.

In second place was a Mother, Daughter and Husband team that were visiting from Duluth.  The mother that was a school teacher and frequenter of the Green Mill up there.  She asked if she could sneak me with her to run trivia up there for her and a posse of 60 year old women.  I'm down.  This was team The Young Ones

Coming in third place is a favorite and friend to all Pancakes, bacon and eggs I'm feeling positive about them taking home the first place glory in the near future - it's so close you can taste it guys!

As always ya'll are real gems, and look forward to this Thursday where you can dazzle me on your knowledge of which men (and women) madonna has made her significant other.

A team name even a mother could love.

The wiley coyotes of Green Mill Woodbury trivia are all men, women, and children of mystery.  There were multiple teams that had team names with such depth and mystery they told me i'd have to pull up a chair to fully understand, which I did not, so I could deliver you fresh trivia questions all night.

It was a solid few hours we spent together, I made 3 children under the age 5 very upset with me because mom and dad were so into trivia they couldn't go back to their hotel room til they saw their score, our friend and bartender mistook me for a small child and even though a renovation happened the woodbury location knows how to fry bacon the best of all.

      Our winners were as follows;

Coming in 3rd and potentially my new volleyball coaches(?) was Team Awesome who were far too shocked to hear that they placed considering how solidly they were answering. Give yourselves more credit team awesome!  I'll try to honor your request and hit up animal questions next time.  Also get working on that flag so when I stop by your table i'll know the conversation is safe ;)

Our 2nd place team Bacon, Eggs and Pancakes know more than just a delicious breakfast combination.  I now know the cost savings associated with 100 watt light bulbs and how it affects business owners.  Bigs ups to the trivia treams for bringing their own trivia to me, who are we if we aren't learing?  Hope to see you kids back again one of these weeks.

Our 1st place team is no stranger to the mill - though this is the first time i've heard the ever pleasant Winslows with a Carl choose such a downer of a team name.  The name they secured 1st place with is 5 chairs of nothingness which, when asked to take their photo they requested that I just take a pic of an empty table and chairs which would have been hilarious had I remembered to do it....instead you get their smiling faces.

As always you guys are the best - thank you for welcoming me back with loving arms, here's to the beginning of a fantastic diablo winged future.
