As a middle school English teacher, Mike spends his days being a goofy, good-humored know-it-all who corrects papers, encourages people not to spill drinks, and makes sure that everybody heard the question correctly. In his spare time he likes to hike in state parks with his dog Bismarck, tinker with recipes to enter into the STrib holiday cookie contest, and rewatch episodes of Lost and Star Trek TNG.
