'Twas a good night with a friendly debate of the Internet Only Question and a sweet three-way tie for second place. Drama-filled!

‘Twas stiff competition with half the teams taking 4th place (and technically last place too). Newbies blew in from the East and took first place. The Philly crew Team Sisyphis ran into troubles with the sound round, but their near-perfect score earned them their victory.

First place - Team Sisyphis - 31 points

Team Eyeballs Stuck on Replay were happy to place in the top three after weeks of determination. They took home the Half-Priced Books gift card with their second place spot.

Second place - Eyeballs Stuck on Replay - 26 points

Narrowly missing a four-way tie by one point, Team Andrew is Awesome took third place as well as a rad hat and a wine opener.

Third place - Andrew is Awesome - 23 points

Finally, the three-way tie for 4th place. Eta Moi, Triple Threat, and Skoog Ah Chou all scored with 22 points. It’s like trivia ESP. Maybe.

Oh, and mad props go out to Team Triple Threat today. They had the BEST wrong answer. The capitol of Chile is NOT Con Queso, but it IS the funniest wrong answer I’ve seen in a loooooong time.

Just an observation this week - half of our teams couldn't come up with team names. It's true that you want a good team name. Many folks pick one good name and stick with it. There's always something fun about switching them up, too. Either way, there was some majory writers block this week.

I've found some tools that might helpful for coming up with a team name.

Try this one. It looks like my new team name would be Queen Vanilla Cube cubis.

Or maybe this one. My new team name could be Ldnnsy. (Where are the vowels???)

This one might be fruitful. I'd be Pirate Abigail the Hatless.

It was party time trivia at Pop!! this evening. With a bar filled with trivia teams including the Lowertown St. Paul Meetup group, we had an active night. Either our teams were stacked with geniuses or the questions were easier, but we had a whole lot of great scores tonight. Starting with our first place team...

Fourth place - Lowertown Lowlifes - 29 points

Another shout out is due to the other fourth place team, Ass Hatters, who also scored with 29 points. Their animated reaction to the answers made for a fun night. They busted out before I grabbed the camera. Also, mad props to Smits with 25 points AND the best handwriting EVER.

Trivia tonight was hott! So hot that our first place team was proposing to women on other teams. Ok, maybe that was just for their team name, and maybe it was a joke. I gave it a courtesy knee slap! On to the winners!! (Two of which were new this week. Nice work!)
