Recap for February 13: Valentine's Eve
Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 11:35PM Another exciting week of Nomad trivia. My favorite co-host spent the night waiting for a tow truck to get him out of the ditch, so I had to wow you myself with hilarious tidbits and Irish jokes apropos of nothing. We learned that nobody saw "The Preacher's Wife" but everyone knew the capital of Pennsylvania (nerds).
First place this week went to Vibe Police! They may not know much about presidents, but at least they didn't think Wayne Newton sounded like Etta James. Well played, boys.
Second place went to Carrot! They kept trying to weasel the Mitch Hedburg answer out of me, to no avail. But one of their team mates did come rescue me from a gig in St Paul half an hour before trivia, so shots well earned! Iron Butterflies for everyone!
Third place this week went to last week's second place team, Don't Copy My Butt. They don't mind losing, they just really like getting free shots. Go spend that Ragstock gift card on something awesome!
And, in learned-some-shit-place, Crystal Swords! The only team to know the Mitch Hedberg punchline, and thus my new favorite team. Good job you guys! Congrats on your Jan Brett poster! It's autographed.
Thanks also to M. Dogg M&M, 4+1=Awesome and Eh (who earned a brownie point for answering in the form of a Presidents of the United States of America lyric). And all the other people who started to play, shouted shit out, and left. Like that one guy who's sheet only said "Germany" and stole my pen. Fuck that guy.
Don't forget! Next week is PRESIDENTS DAY!! We're going to raise the (White House) roof!
